1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
2 1/2 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and oil, add eggs and beat well. Add combined dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in vanilla, apples, nuts and raisins and mix well. Pour batter into 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped cream or Butter Sauce.

BUTTER SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. whipping cream
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine and cook over low heat until thick.
