MRS. WEBBS CINNAMON ROLLS AND
DONUTS
 
2 pkgs. yeast dissolved in 1 c. warm water

Let stand 10 minutes then add:

1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
flour

Mix well and add flour until thick enough to make stiff dough about 5 cups, more or less. Let rise.

Roll out in rectangle for rolls. Spread with butter, cinnamon and nuts (optional). Roll as for jelly roll. Pinch sides together and cut.

Place into two buttered loaf pans with brown sugar sprinkled in bottom.

Let rise until doubled.

Bake at 300-350°F until done. May cut out like biscuits. Place in pan over the butter, brown sugar and nuts. Let rise until doubled in size.

Donuts: Roll out, cut out donuts. Let rise. Fry in vegetable oil heated to 375°F.

Make a glaze from powdered sugar, water, melted butter and vanilla. Dip donuts in glaze.

Serve warm.
