BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. shortening
1 c. buttermilk

Sift together flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Make a well in center and pour buttermilk all at once. Stir until mixed. Knead 15 times. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes.
