MOLASSES COOKIES 
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Melt Crisco, cool to lukewarm and add dry ingredients, egg, and molasses. Chill mixture, form balls and roll (or shake) in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Less time will give chewier cookies.
