MRS. JAMES' FRUIT SAUCE FOR
FRESH FRUIT SALAD
 
2 egg yolks
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold whipping cream
2 tbsp. light rum, optional
Dash of salt
3 tbsp. orange juice
1/4 tsp. vanilla

In a small mixing bowl beat egg yolks with salt until very thick and lemon colored. Add sugar and continue beating. In another bowl beat cream until thick. Fold egg mixture into cream. Fold in rum. Keep in refrigerator until needed.
