1 pkg. Shawnee corn bread mix
1 sm. can cream style corn
1 tbsp. rubbed sage
1/2 c. finely chopped onions
1 egg
Enough milk to make stiff batter

Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat, until browned. My family prefers more onion for better flavor. May add a finely chopped jalapeno pepper if desired.
