3 lb. ground beef, browned

Add (chopped and blanched) :

1 1/2 stalks celery
1 1/2 med. onion
1 bell pepper

Add:

1 1/2 (6 oz.) cans mushrooms
1 (32 oz.) jar Prego sauce
1 (15 oz.) can tomato juice
1 med. can stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pkg. Shilling's or Lawry's dry spaghetti sauce mix
Salt as desired
Pepper as desired
Garlic powder as desired

Simmer and season to taste. Add water if needed.

1 lb. vermicelli, broken in thirds, cook according to directions
1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated

Layer vermicelli, cheese, sauce. Cheese on top. Chill overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes - covered lightly for about 25 minutes.
