HAMBURGER NOODLE BAKE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tsp. sugar
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
6 scallions
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Melt butter in heavy frying pan; add ground beef and garlic and cook, stirring, until ground beef loses all its red color. Add salt, pepper, sugar and tomato sauce. Stir to blend. Cover and cook slowly 15 to 20 minutes. Boil noodles according to package directions. Blend sour cream, softened cream cheese and chopped scallions. Put noodles, meat mixture and sour cream mixture into baking dish in layers, with a layer of noodles on top. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
