GREEN BEANS SAUTERNE 
1/2 c. finely sliced onion
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. sauterne (wine)
2 c. green beans, cooked
1 (3 oz.) can boiled mushrooms
1/2 c. chopped cashew nuts
1/2 c. cracker crumbs
2 tbsp. butter for topping

Simmer onions in butter for 4 minutes. Add flour and mix well. Add pepper and sour cream; stir until smooth over low heat. Blend in wine and stir until smooth. Add beans, mushrooms and nuts; pour into a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle crumbs over the top and dot with butter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serves 6. This recipe is an especially good accompaniment with beef.
