PIZZA PORK CHOPS | |
6 (1 1/2 inch thick) pork chops 2 eggs 1/4 c. milk 1 c. bread crumbs 1 tsp. chopped or dried parsley 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil 2 c. Italian tomato sauce or pizza sauce 6 slices Swiss cheese 6 slices Mozzarella cheese Trim fat from chops. In a medium-sized bowl, combine eggs and milk. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Dip each chop into egg mixture and then bread crumbs mixture. Brown in oil in preheated iron skillet. Pour tomato sauce over chops. Cover with lid or foil and cook at 200 to 225 degrees for 1 1/2 hours Add a small amount of water occasionally to to keep chops from sticking. Just before serving, place one slice of cheese on each chop. |
