CHILI CON CARNE
1/2 lb. ground beef or ground raw turkey
1/4 c. frozen chopped onion
2-3 tsp. chili powder
1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can red kidney beans
1/212/ tsp. bottled minced garlic or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce

Break ground meat into large pieces while adding it to a medium skillet. Cook meat, frozen onion and chili powder over high heat until the beef is brown or turkey is no longer pink and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Meanwhile, cut up tomatoes.

Stir undrained tomatoes, undrained kidney beans, garlic and pepper sauce into meat mixture. Bring to boiling, then reduce the heat. Simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.. Makes 2 servings.

To Micro-Cook: Place the loose ground meat, onion and chili powder in a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole, then cover. Micro-cook at 100% (high) for 3 1/2 to 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, stirring once. Drain off fat. Cut up tomatoes.

Stir in the undrained tomatoes, undrained kidney beans, garlic and pepper sauce. Then cook, uncovered on high for 2 to 4 minutes or until heated through, stirring once.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
