ISLAND TERIYAKI 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 lb. top sirloin steak or round steak, 1 inch thick

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, ginger, pepper and garlic. Mix well. Add meat and stir to coat. Let stand 2 hours at room temperature. Lace meat accordion style on skewers. Broil over hot coals 10-12 minutes. Turn often and baste with marinade.
