BROCCOLI SALAD 
1 med. bunch broccoli
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 lb. bacon, fry crisp and crumble
1 med. purple onion, diced
1 can sliced water chestnuts

Cut broccoli florets and tender stems in small pieces. Combine with diced onion, bacon, water chestnuts and Cheddar cheese. Toss with dressing. It is better to make this salad the day before and refrigerate overnight. Will keep a week in the refrigerator. (May substitute bacon bits for the bacon.)

DRESSING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Miracle Whip
1 tbsp. vinegar
