ANNADAMA LOAF BREAD 
1/2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. corn meal
1 1/2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. molasses
1 tbsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
3 c. flour

Put corn meal in bowl, add milk and water. Then add shortening, molasses and salt.

Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve package of dry yeast in lukewarm water. Add flour. Add alternately yeast mix to corn meal mix.

Turn out on floured board and knead 7 minutes; put in greased bowl. Let rise until double, punch down. Put in loaf pan, let double. Bake in 375 degree oven about 40 to 50 minutes.
