Wash and clean turkey in usual manner. Rub small amount of salt over turkey. Melt sufficient amount of butter approximately 1/2 to 3/4 lb. depending on size of bird in a small pan. Brush this over entire bird. Tie wings and legs securely and insert entire bird in brown grocery bag.
Staple or secure end of bag and place in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes per pound. Turkey may be inspected 3/4 of the way through baking time to check doneness. Judge rest of cooking time accordingly.
Note: There is no stuffing in bird. This shortens cooking time. Bird comes golden brown.
