BUTTERMILK BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 pkgs. yeast
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. butter

Mix in large bowl flour, sugar, salt, soda and yeast. In small saucepan melt butter and then heat until warm buttermilk and water. Add warm liquid to flour mixture and blend 3 minutes at medium speed. Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups of flour. Flour board, knead in flour up to 1 cup. Place in greased bowl and let rise about 1 hour. Punch down and divide into 4 parts. Let rest 15 minutes. Roll into rectangle and shape and place 2 rolls in pan. Makes 2 pans. Bake 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from pans.
