REALLY GOOD AND RICH BROWNIES 
2 1/2 sticks butter
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate (may substitute 12 tbsp. cocoa and 4 tbsp. butter)
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 scant c. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Melt butter and chocolate. Add sugar. Add eggs. Slowly pour chocolate mixture into eggs, stirring while you pour. Stir in flour, nuts and vanilla. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees (few less minutes for chewy brownies). Ice while warm.

ICING:

Melt together:

4 sq. chocolate
6 tbsp. butter

Stir in:

1/2 c. half and half or evaporated milk

Remove from heat and add:

Pinch of salt
1 tbsp. vanilla

Stir in sifted powdered sugar until thick. Spread on brownie and cool.
