1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda in milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. sour milk
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter and sugars together. Add eggs and bananas and vanilla. Sift together flour and spices. Add to mixture alternately with the sour milk. Add nuts. Pour into well greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Ice with Butterscotch Icing.

BUTTERSCOTCH ICING:

1 c. brown sugar, packed in cup
6 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. cream or milk

Cook 3 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.
