FETTUCINE WITH HAM 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided
1 clove minced garlic
1 green onion, chopped
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 to 3/4 lb. ham (leftover or deli), chopped
1 (8 oz.) box fettucine (regular or spinach), cooked and drained
1/2 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup half and half
fresh ground pepper

In saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter. Sauté garlic briefly. Add green onions and mushrooms and continue to sauté. Add ham and cook briefly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Over low heat, melt remaining butter, don't brown. Add noodles and toss. Sprinkle with cheeses. Toss until melted. Add half and half. Heat over medium heat just until hot. Sprinkle with ground pepper. Add ham mixture. Toss and serve immediately.
