GOOD KNOX ONION RINGS 
2 to 3 lg. or Colossal white onions, peeled with ends cut off
24 oz. all-purpose flour or Bisquick, blended with fine bread crumbs or cracker meal
Egg wash: 3 pts. whole milk & 1 beaten egg, blended with whisk
Shortening to fill deep fryer

Slice onions 1/4 inch thick. Gently separate into rings. Dip slices into egg wash, coating each completely. Shake off excess liquid. Then place into flour/meal mixture. Place into deep fryer with fat heated to 350 degrees. Cook for about 2 1/2 minutes, or until golden. Place cooked rings on paper towel to drain.
