APPLE NUT DESSERT 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. soft butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. peeled, cut up apples
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. flour
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter, softened

Mix sugar, 3/4 cup flour, baking powder, and butter in medium bowl. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in apples and nuts. Spread in a greased 9 inch square pan. Mix 1/3 cup flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake at 400 degrees about 30 to 35 minutes or until brown. Serves 9.
