CREAMED HAM AND VEGETABLES IN
ONION SAUCE
 
2 to 3 c. diced ham
2 med. onions or 1 lg. onion
2 c. milk or 1 c. cream and 1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
4 to 6 tbsp. flour
1 lg. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables (your choice)
Salt and pepper to taste

Thaw out frozen vegetables; set aside. Saute onions in butter. Add ham chunks, cook over low heat until onions are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Make a paste with half of milk and flour. Add paste to ham and onions, stir. Add remaining milk or cream, stir constantly. Make amount of sauce or thickness you desire. Add frozen vegetables. Serve on cooked rice or noodles.
