3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. lard
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/4 c. flour sifted first
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream the first 4 ingredients. Add eggs. Mix in the next 3 ingredients. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees until golden.
