CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
3 c. oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) pkg. English walnuts

Combine first six ingredients and beat on high speed of electric mixer until smooth. Add dry ingredients, chocolate chips and nuts and mix with hands. Drop by spoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a 325 degree oven until tops of cookies start to turn brown. Do not overbake. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before removing from sheets.
