PEANUT BUTTER CRISSCROSSES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla, stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet, press with back of floured fork to make crisscrosses. Bake about 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
