FRENCH FRIED ONIONS 
Vegetable oil
1 peeled lg. onion
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

1. In a deep small saucepan, pour vegetable oil 1 1/2 inches deep. Put over low heat.

2. Slice onion 1/2 inch thick. Separate into rings.

3. Arrange two small bowls nearby, one filled with milk, the other with combined flour and salt. Dip the onion rings into the milk and then the flour/salt.

4. Then dip into oil. Fry a few at a time until light brown. Drain on paper.
