CHERRY FILLED SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

FILLING:

1 c. nuts, chopped fine
cherry pie filling (see recipe
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. coconut

Cream sugars, butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Chill. Prepare filling by mixing filling ingredients together. Roll cookie dough out on floured board. Cut into desired shape. Place 1 teaspoon filling inc enter. Can leave open or fold over to form a pocket. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
