BOSTON BROWN BREAD | |
1 c. All Bran 1/2 c. seedless raisins 2 tbsp. shortening 3/4 c. boiling water 1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses 1 egg 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt Measure All Bran, raisins, shortening and molasses in mixing bowl. Add boiling water, stir until shortening is melted, add egg and beat. Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and add to bran mixture. Stir until combined. Fill greased pans. Best when baked in cans such as baked bean cans. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
