BRAN MUFFINS | |
1 c. boiling water 1 c. 100% Nabisco Bran 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. buttermilk 2 c. Kelloggs All Bran 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. dates or 1 c. raisins Pour boiling water over Nabisco Bran. Cool to lukewarm. In a mixer beat shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add bran mixture and buttermilk and All Bran. Fold in flour, salt, soda, baking powder. Add dates or raisins. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. (Keeps 6 weeks in refrigerator.) |
