MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
4 eggs
1 lg. chopped onion
1 can cream style corn
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1/2 lb. mild cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
Jalapeno peppers
3 lbs. hamburger

Mix cornmeal, soda, salt, milk, eggs, onion, corn and bacon drippings together for batter. Cook hamburger; drain. Pour half of batter into pan; add hamburger. Sprinkle peppers over hamburger, add layers of cheeses. Add rest of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
