RAISIN-NUT BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. whole bran cereal
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. California walnuts, chopped
1/2 c. dark seedless raisins
1/4 c. salad oil
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. double acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk

About 40 minutes before serving.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 12 (2 1/2") muffin pan cups. In medium bowl with fork, mix first 7 ingredients. In small bowl with fork, beat egg slightly; stir in milk and oil; stir egg mixture into flour mixture just until flour is moistened. Spoon batter into muffin pan cups. Bake 25 minutes or until golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Immediately remove from pan. Makes 12 muffins.
