CLASSIC GEORGIA PECAN PIE 
3 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. light or dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans (or halves), toasted
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell (homemade or frozen)

Lightly whisk eggs in a medium bowl. Add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and melted butter. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven 45 to 55 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Let cool on wire rack.

Yield: 1 pie, 6 to 8 servings.
