1/2 c. salt
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
Food coloring (opt.)

Heat the water, dissolve the salt, stir in the cornstarch and food coloring. Knead until smooth. Pinch small amounts and form into shapes. Stick small dowels or pencils through shape to form a hole, place shapes on wax paper. When dry, slip of stick and thread beads onto yarn. Can be painted and written on.
