RED CHILE SAUCE | |
8 oz. red chile pods 1 lg. clove garlic 1 tsp. salt Remove stems and seeds from chile pods (save seeds). Rinse chile pods. Boil clean chile pods for approximately 20 minutes (some people prefer to soak pods in hot water instead of boiling). Drain water. Place chile pods in blender. Add water, garlic, and salt and liquify. Strain chile sauce if desired. (Always strain if using for enchiladas). Use immediately, or freeze for your convenience. |
