CHEWY BREAD | |
1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. vanilla extract 4 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 to 2 c. chopped pecans Combine sugar and eggs in a heavy saucepan. Stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well. Spoon mixture into a greased and floured 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 3 dozen. |
