CHERRY SQUARES 
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour, plain
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix in order given; spread evenly on greased, floured sheet cake pan (approximately 8 x 12 inch) or cookie sheet. Drop spoons of cherry pie filling onto cake batter (not allowing to touch pan); try not to let them run together. Cook in 350 to 400 degree oven until golden brown (about 20 minutes). Cut in squares between cherries.
