CORNSTARCH SHORT CAKES 
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
1 c. cornstarch
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. double acting baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring all ingredients to room temperature. To a bowl add 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sifted powdered sugar; cream together. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until light. Sift and measure 1 cup cornstarch. Add baking powder to cornstarch and sift 3 more times. Combine sifted ingredients to creamed mixture and blend. Grease bottoms of muffin pans and fill half way. Bake about 15 minutes. Yield: 15 muffins.
