CHOCOLATE MACAROONS 
2 eggs
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (4 oz.) pkg. German sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
2 2/3 c. coconut

Beat eggs until foamy. Add sugar and beat 5 minutes with electric mixer. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt. Then add butter, vanilla, and coconut. Blend in chocolate the last. Drop by teaspoon on greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven 15 minutes or until golden brown around edge. Let stand a few seconds, then place on rack to cool. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 3 dozen.
