PEPPER BISCUITS
4 c. flour (Gold Medal or Pillsbury)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. fennel seeds
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 egg, unbeaten
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. Mazola or any good cooking oil

In a large bowl combine all the above ingredients by making a well with the flour and adding the remaining ingredients except egg, water, milk and oil. Add the unbeaten egg in the well; beat it a few strokes, then add water, milk and oil. Mix all together. If dough seems too soft, add flour a little at a time until it doesn't stick to your hands.

Knead for about 4-5 minutes, then cut in pieces to make biscuits. Roll the pieces about 10-12 inches long, then fold the pieces in half and twist, forming a biscuit. They can also be made without twisting them. Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown or until color desired. Yield: approximately 3 dozen, depending on size rolled.
