5 c. coleslaw mix 1 apple, coarsely chopped 2/3 c. apple juice or cider 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2-1 tsp. caraway seed 1/2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 lb. cooked sliced, smoked turkey sausage In a 2 quart microwave covered casserole dish, combine coleslaw mix, apple and 1/3 cup apple juice. Microwave covered high power for 8 minutes, stirring once. Cabbage should be almost tender. Combine remaining ingredients (except meat). Stir into slaw mixture and add sausage. Microwave, uncovered, 3-5 minutes until thickened and bubbly. Serves 4. |
