CHOWDER 
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. cream
1/3 stick butter
1 can clams with juice and/or 1 can oysters with juice
1 c. cooked rice
5-6 oz. fresh mushrooms, thick sliced
Salt and pepper to taste

Warm milk, cream and butter. Mix in other ingredients. Heat over low fire, stirring until steamy. Serve in large bowls, with crusty bread.
