PERSIMMON BREAD | |
3 c. sugar 1 c. cooking oil 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2/3 c. water 1 tsp. vinegar 2 c. persimmon pulp 3 1/2 c. unsifted flour 4 eggs 1/2 c. chopped nuts Place all ingredients, except nuts, in large mixing bowl; mix at high speed for 4 minutes. Add nuts, stir with spoon until well mixed. Pour into 3 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees about one hour. Serves 10 or 12. |
