KOLACHES 
1/2 c. warm milk
1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 unbeaten eggs
1/2 c. soft butter or shortening
About 4 1/2 or 5 c. all-purpose flour

Can add more flour if needed. Put warm water in a large bowl, sprinkle 2 packages yeast in. Ad milk, stir and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar, let stand 5 minutes. Then add, salt, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, butter or shortening, enough flour to make soft dough. Stir and add all ingredients. Knead until smooth and elastic. Add flour, little at a time, until smooth. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size. Then turn down and rise again. Then ready to fill with fruit. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 or 25 minutes.
