“CANDY FRUIT ROLL” IS IN:

CANDY FRUIT ROLL 
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped figs
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup shredded coconut flakes
1/2 cup white raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 cup milk

Put dates, figs, pecans, coconut flakes and raisins into large mixing bowl. Set aside.

Combine sugar, syrup and milk; cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Remove from heat; hand beat lightly for 2 minutes.

Pour over fruit mixture and stir until blended. Roll into loaves, approximately 6 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Let harden and slice.

Makes 15 servings.
