FRUIT CANDY 
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup cream
1 cup figs
1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup English walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugars, butter and cream. Boil to soft ball stage (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Stir remaining ingredients into the candy. Cook 1 minute.
