CHOCOLATE BANANA BARS 
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. soft butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. mashed fully ripe bananas (3 med.)
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 c. whole bran cereal
1 c. chopped nuts

Melt chocolate over hot but not boiling water. Cool. Sift dry ingredients, combine butter, sugar, bananas, egg, milk, cereal and chocolate. Beat until blended, add dry ingredients and nuts. Beat well. Spread mixture in greased floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

FROSTING:

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. milk
Salt
Vanilla

Melt chocolate over hot water; remove. Stir in the rest of ingredients and spread over bars.
