POLYNESIAN BANANA BREAD | |
1 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 4 eggs 1 c. mashed bananas 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour 2 tbsp. baking soda 1/4 c. chopped black walnuts Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla together in bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add bananas; mix well. Sit flour and soda together. Fold into creamed mixture. Mix in walnuts. Pour into 3 greased and floured 4"x8" loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Yield: 3 loaves. |
