BRAISED STEAK INDONESIAN STYLE 
2 to 2 1/2 lb. round or chuck steak
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. cooking oil
1 can condensed beef broth
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 c. chopped onion small
2 tomatoes, peeled & quartered

Cut meat into serving sizes. Mix flour, salt and pepper together; rub or pound mixture into all sides of meat. Heat oil in heavy skillet or Dutch over, brown meat well. Add beef broth, garlic salt and onion. Cover, simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender. Add tomatoes, simmer 5 minutes more. Serve over steamed rice. Makes 6 servings
