MOUNTAIN STEW | |
1 stewing chicken 2 c. diced potatoes 2 c. sliced onion 2 c. corn 2 c. butter beans (limas) 2 c. tomatoes 1 tbsp. butter 1/2 tbsp. salt Pepper 1 c. bread crumbs Squirrel or rabbit is excellent in place of chicken. Stew meat until tender. Remove bones. Add vegetables to meat, seasoning; cook until vegetables are done. Add butter and bread crumbs to thicken. Serve hot. Add water as necessary. |
