CHICKEN ITALIENNE 
2 chickens, cut up or chicken parts
1 (28 oz.) can peeled tomatoes, cut up
6-8 lg. sliced mushrooms
1/2 onion, cut in pieces
Red wine
Pinch of sugar or sweetener
1 can Prego spaghetti sauce
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
Italian seasoning & oregano to taste
Pinch of garlic powder
Dash of cayenne pepper

Saute onions, mushrooms and parsley in oil. Add spaghetti sauce and tomatoes. Add all spices and bring to simmer. Add chicken, sugar and wine to taste. Add more seasonings and wine if desired. Simmer until tender. Can be prepared in advance and reheated. Serve over mostaccioli and pass extra sauce for spooning.
